It struck me whilst watching The Aristocats with my daughter recently that Sylvain Chomet’s work looks just like Disney circa 1970s… or more specifically the films Wolfgang Reitherman directed. I wonder if the French-set Aristocats made a big impression on the 7-year old Chomet… and check out the cars in The Rescuers!
